Albert A Helderlein

Albert A. Helderlein, age 82 of Hartstown, PA passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at his residence.  He was born October 4, 1934 in North Versailles Twp., PA the son of the late Frank X. Helderlein and Garnet Mason Helderlein.  He was a 1952 graduate of East McKeesport High School.  He retired as a welder with U.S. Steel Corp after 30 yrs. of service.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army with rank of Medical Specialist. He was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing as well as farming. He enjoyed helping his neighbors, was a past member of the McKeesport Sportsmen’s Assoc. Inc. and a volunteer fireman in North Versailles for several years. Albert is survived by three sisters: Leona F. Pierce of Greensburg, PA, Cheryl D. Semenko and her husband Edward of Greensburg, PA, Judith A. McCracken of White Oak, PA, five brothers: Frank R. Helderlein and his wife Betty of Baxley, GA, Guy D. Helderlein and his wife Linda of Hazelhurst, GA, Duane G. Helderlein and his wife Debbie of Camarillo, CA, Kenneth C. Helderlein and his wife Jeanne of Oxnard, CA and Ronald B. Helderlein of San Diego, CA, and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Vivian M. Schwille, Patricia E. Callahan, and by three brothers: Howard R. Helderlein, William C. Helderlein and Gary L. Helderlein. As per Albert’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorials can be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
