Alice Ondish

Alice Ondish, age 91, of Saegertown, where she lived with her caregivers, daughter, Sandra and granddaughter, Leigh McMahon, passed away June 11, 2020 at her residence.  She was born on October 31, 1928 in Swoyersville, PA to the late Stanley and Alice (Rusiloski) Bogdan.  She married Peter Ondish on February 14, 1946.  He preceded her in death on July 5, 1993.

Alice enjoyed creating a beautiful yard of flowers before declining health, playing bingo and taking trips to the casino with her sister.

She is survived by her daughter and caretaker, Sandra McMahon of Seagertown, PA; daughter, Alice Wayner (William) of WV; son, R. James Ondish (Christine) of VA and son, Peter Ondish (Cindy) of Saegertown; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a special niece, Julia McNeill and her loving sister, Romaine Savage.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter; her infant daughter, Judith; grandson, William Wayner; son-in-law, David McMahon and 3 brothers.

Per Alice’s wishes, there will be no services.
