Alice Ruth (Miller) Oswald passed away on August 2, 2019 at Oak Creek Terrace Nursing Home, Kettering, Ohio. Alice was born in Manson, Iowa on May 13, 1920 and married John Oswald on March 22, 1940. Alice lived in Conneaut Lake from 1940 to 2006 and then moved to the Dayton area until passing away at age of 99.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan & Lena Miller; her husband, John, 10 siblings, a great grandchild, and two sons-in-law.
Surviving are her six children: Gloria Kemmet, Liz Hutchinson, Phil (Joan) Oswald, Rachel Oswald, Ruth (Chet) Packard, and Johnny (Patty) Oswald. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Alice was an avid quilter, seamstress, and provided quilts for family and church missions. She won many ribbons for her handiwork. Alice cherished her faith and family.
Calling hours will be at Dickson's Funeral Home, Conneaut Lake, Pa. on Thursday, August 8th (6-8:00 p.m.). In addition calling hours will be held on Friday, August 9th (10:00-11:00 a.m.) at Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 12981 Foust Road, Conneaut Lake , Pa. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sunnyside.
