Alma Mae Parker, age 80 of McKinney, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her children. She was born on February 1, 1934 in Holidays Cove, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Wilbur Boyd and Hattie Mae Smith Strock. She married Donald Walter Parker on April 2, 1955. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1988. She graduated from Beaver High School in Beaver, PA. She had previously been employed by American Viscose Corporation and Tamarack Treasures. She was a member of The Wilderness Society, Kovels Antiques and Collectibles, ASPCA, Habitat for Humanity, Disabled American Veterans and the Democratic Party. Alma loved crossword puzzles, reading, current events, crocheting, solitaire and was a "Die Hard Steelers Fan." She was very involved in attending the grandchildren's sporting events. She was a Baylor Bears Football Fan. Alma is survived by three daughters, Linda and her husband, William Geiger III of Saegertown, PA, Patricia and her husband David Kress of Hinsdale, MA, and Teresa and her husband Scott Dimerling of McKinney, TX; a son, Donald and his wife, Melodie (Roydes) Parker of Meadville, PA; Eleven Grandchildren, Edward Pardee, William Geiger IV, Selena Parker, Amber Parker, Jazlyn Parker, Benjamin Parker, Christine Kress, Erin Braden, Robert Hayes, Hailey Parker and Meggan Dimerling . She is further survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Laina, Kani, Christopher, Elijah, Caleb, Robert Jr., David, Isabelle, Anthony, Emilee, Madison and Garrett. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Evelyn Strock. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 12 noon until 3:00 PM at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Mealy of the Enterprise United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Greendale Cemetery.
