Andrew J. Debaise

Andrew “Babe” DeBaise, 87, of Gasteiger Rd, Meadville, PA 16335, passed away Friday July 19, 2019 at Wesbury.  He was born August 8, 1931 in Meadville, son of Joseph DeBaise and Mary Euliano-DeBaise.   He married Eve Allen in 1950, after a lengthy illness, she passed away April 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Diane S. Carter-DeBaise, whom he married in 1986. He is survived by his brother, Sylvester ‘Sonny’ DeBaise; his brother-in-law Roderick Carter and his wife, Barb of Wisconsin and sister-in-law Marcia Carter-Linz of Meadville; his 2 sons, Joseph DeBaise of Denver, CO and Mark DeBaise of Corry; his stepson, R. Douglas Wykoff of Meadville and stepdaughter, Dawn MacLeod of Alexandria, VA. He had 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary DeBaise and his daughter, Debbie DeBaise-Popp; his siblings Mary Phillips, Rose DeBaise, and Art DeBaise; sister-in-laws Carole DeBaise and Fannie DeBaise, and brother-in-law Tom Linz.

He was a lifetime member of the Italian Civic Club and a member of the Eagles. He enjoyed socializing with friends and family. He enjoyed doing yardwork, and going to the casino. He worked 40 years at ABEX/ABC Rail Corp, and worked several years with HUD until his retirement.
