Anita Joan Campbell

Anita Joan Campbell, age 80 passed away Monday August 18 at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, PA, where she had been a resident of the nursing unit for over five years. Anita was born September 16, 1933 the daughter of the late Philip B. and Golda Holmes Burton. Anita was of the Protestant Faith. She graduated from Meadville High School in l951. She lived and worked in this area all her life. She was one of the last employees of Talon Inc. before they closed their doors. She then went to work at Country Fair and Walmart before her retirement. Anita is survived by a son, Philip F. Campbell of MI, two grandchildren, Terry Huckleberry and Jennifer Huckleberry, three sisters; Gloria Scott and her husband Robert of North Port, Florida; Beverly Gealy of Grove City, PA; and Phyllis Ducz and her husband Thomas of Ocala, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren of the heart, Rosie Hippo, Jason Woodcock and Harold Betts. In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by two sons; Eric Campbell and L. William Campbell, a sister, Shirley Peterson, a brother, Dale J. Campbell. The memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday August 25, 2014 at the Barco Chapel at Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N Park Avenue, Meadville. The Rev. Marshall Lillie from the Hospice of Crawford County will officiate.
