Ann Plunkett

Elizabeth (Ann) Logan Plunkett July 18, 1929 – May 12, 2016   It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Ann) Logan Plunkett after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Born in Lindsay, Ontario, Ann was one of five children born to Dr. Hugh David and Phyllis Logan. Upon completing high school in Lindsay, she graduated from the University of Toronto. In 1951, Ann married Douglas M. Plunkett. She is survived by her children Hugh David (Hettie) in Ottawa, Ontario, James Douglas (Sue) in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and Catherine Elizabeth in Peterborough, Ontario; her grandchildren Christopher, Daniel (Charmaine), Jesse (Allison), Joan, and Ann; her great grandchildren Olivia and Everly; several nieces and nephews; her sister, Jane in Lockport, New York, and her brother, Sandy, in Toronto, Ontario. Ann was predeceased by her husband Doug, daughters Wendy Ann and Carolyn Ann, and brothers Robert Ian and Hugh David.   Ann greatly valued her family and friends, and she leaves behind a memory of grace, laughter, and an inquisitive mind. After spending many happy years with Doug in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, she spent her final months at Adelaide Retirement Home in her birthplace of Lindsay, Ontario, where she received excellent care.   A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, May 28th from 2-4pm at the Rivermill Village Clubhouse in Lindsay, Ontario.
