Anthony Rice

Anthony “Tony” Rice, age 62, of Meadville, PA passed away on Saturday December 28, 2024 at home after a prolonged illness. He was born on April 12, 1962 in Ft. Hood, TX to the late Tim and Marly (Mossman) Rice. He married Louise DiMaria in 1988.

Tony attended Meadville High School. He was a freelance jack-of-all- trades.  He was of the Catholic faith. Tony was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He was a proud supporter of shenanigans. He maintained an enthusiastic zest for life and could talk to anyone about anything.

Tony is survived by his former spouse and his “guardian angel”, Louise Rice of Meadville, PA and their children, Anthony Rice, Sam Rice and Lizzie Crytzer all of Meadville, PA; his granddaughter, Layla Crytzer; his siblings, Philip Rice of Meadville, PA, Karen (Rice) Haun of Cochranton, PA and Christine Gallagher and her husband, Sean of Shippensburg, PA; his nephews, Nathan and Parker Haun both of Cochranton; his niece, Delaney Gallagher of Shippensburg, PA and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad and step-mom, Tim and Shirley Rice and his mom, Marly Rice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday January 5, 2025 @ 2:00 pm at 388 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.
