Antoinette E. Copeland, age 92, of Guys Mills, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. She was born on February 17, 1924, the daughter of the late Ignatius Rejzer and Theresa Sobek Rejzer. Antoinette married David Taylor Copeland on June 19, 1948; he preceded her in death on April 21, 1979. Antoinette was a member of St. Hippolyte’s Roman Catholic Church. She volunteered many times to help with the Chicken and Ham dinners at the church. She was fulfilled with raising a large family with her husband, David. She enjoyed reading, driving, going on trips, especially traveling to Washington D.C., going to the beaches, especially Bethany Beach, in Delaware, Emerald Isle in North Carolina and Presque Isle. She enjoyed vacations with her family and attending parades and fairs. She loved attending Broadway shows such as; Fiddler on the Roof, River Dance, Wicked, and Grease in New York City. Antoinette was a great cook and loved canning fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed picking strawberries at Troyer Farms, and picking up her two sisters, Josephine and Anna to take on shopping trips. Antoinette always cared for her family. She loved them and always supported them. She is survived by three sons: Richard A. Copeland of Guys Mills, PA, Robert F. Copeland of Delaware, OH, Dale T. Copeland and his wife Susan of Nashua, NH, two daughters: Joanne E. Stallings and her husband Randy of Greenville, NC, and Patricia A. Kernick and her husband Vincent Kernick Jr. of Erie, PA, five grandchildren: Jennifer Golden and her husband Kevin of Summerlin, NV, Ashley Hansen and her husband Jacob of Boston, MA, Keith Copeland and his wife Stefanie of Sunbury, OH, Kyle Copeland and his wife Lee Ann of Ridgecrest, CA and Mark Kernick and his wife Jennifer of Edinboro, PA, two great-grandchildren: Benjamin Kernick, Jacob Kernick, two sisters: Viola Petko of Uniontown, PA, and Anna Rejzer of Union City, PA, a step-sister: June Almazon of Mill Village, PA, a step-brother Edward Almazon of Georgia. Antoinette is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Antoinette was preceded in death by a son, William D. Copeland in 2000, a daughter-in-law Terri Copeland in 2015, and granddaughter, Lindsey Grace Kernick in 2014, a brother John Rejzer and his wife Mary, two sisters: Josephine Rejzer and Julia Newell and her husband Art, a step-brother Henry Almazon, and a brother-in-law, Steve Petko. A Vigil Prayer service will be held at 7:45PM on Thursday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Hippolyte’s Roman Catholic Church, 25997 State Hwy 27, Guys Mills, PA on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10 AM. with Father Daniel Prez of St. Hippolyte’s, as Celebrant. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
