Arden Pardee

Arden G. Pardee, age 96, passed away October 9, 2019 at Crawford County Care Center.  He was born January 4, 1923 in Randolph Township, the son of the late Rollo H. and Gracia (Graham) Pardee.  He married Margaret K. Miller on July 8, 1950.  She preceded him in death on January 4, 2006.

Arden was a 1941 graduate of Randolph High School.  He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Force in the China Burma India Theater of War.  He was employed at the former Talon Inc. for 35 years until 1980, when he became legally blind.

Although visually impaired, Arden enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and cutting wood.  He appreciated the beauty of nature, music and bus tours.  He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and the Townville Area Senior Citizens.

Arden is survived by his two sons; Eric A. Pardee and his wife, Susan of University Heights, OH and Craig D. Pardee of Meadville; three granddaughters, Kelsey, Elisabeth Pardee-Kewalramani, her husband Sumit and daughter Maya, and Valerie Pardee,  and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Joel J. Pardee; four brothers, Victor, Chester, Charles, and Richard Pardee and three sisters, Thelma M. Smith, Alice G. Moore and Marian Trace.

A memorial service for Arden will be held Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 9488 S. Wayland Rd., Meadville, PA.
