Arlene Stewart

Arlene Francis Stewart, age 66, of Meadville, PA passed away with family by her side on Saturday November 23, 2024 at Crawford Care Center in Saegertown, PA.  She was born December 22, 1957 in Butler, PA to the late Joseph and Francis (Namesnik) Vavro. She married Michael Thomas Stewart on November 9, 1989. He survives.

Arlene was a 1976 graduate of Butler High School and continued her education at Butler County Community College. Arlene was a housewife and a member of Living Waters Church in Meadville, PA.  She enjoyed reading, raising chickens, and spending time with her family.  She loved all animals, especially wolves.

Along with her husband, Michael, Arlene is survived by her daughter, Lillian M. Stewart of California, PA; one sister, Joanne (Norm) Carpenter of Butler, PA and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Vavro.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335.  The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Loren Little conducting. Burial will immediately follow at Venango Cemetery.
