Arthur Sheckler

Arthur “Art” R. Sheckler, age 74, of Meadville, PA passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on February 23, 1950 in Meadville, PA to the late Addison R. and Martha (Cipolla) Sheckler.

Art attended Meadville High School and then worked at a shoe store in the old Meadville mall. He met his former wife, Margaret Kerr and they were married for 10 years. He joined the US Army in 1975 and served briefly. He then worked for Bigelow Liptak Construction building the bridge over the Geneva Swamp. After that he worked for GE in Erie and also Acto Tool.

Art enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Terra, Angie, Jessie, Justin and Chris; his sister, Grace “Kate” Sheckler of Linesville, PA and his brother, Addison “Dick” Sheckler and his wife, Aleta of Meadville, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Angie and a brother, Theodore.

As per his wishes, there will be no services.
