Barbara J. Bell

Barbara J. (Barb) Bell age 85, formerly of Meadville and residing in Erie since 2007 passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015 at St Vincent Health Center, Erie. She was born September 25, 1929 in Meadville, the daughter of the late Ralph Loper and Effie Grove Loper. She married Mack Bell Jr. on March 28, 1970. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1985. Barbara moved to the Conrad House at Brevillier Village in Erie in 2007 and has resided with her son since 2013 She was of the Protestant Faith. She attended Meadville Area Schools and retired as an inspector from Saegertown Manufacturing Corporation after 26 years of service. Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and visiting with her friends and family. She loved her dogs, Snoopy, Rags, Kayla and Reba. She enjoyed her time she spent completing her puzzle books. Barbara is survived by a son: Bernie Bell (Rhonda), Erie, a step-son: Mark Bell Erie, four grandchildren: Amber Bell, Heather Bell, Crysta Bell, William Bell, two step-grandchildren: Ashton Rodriguez-Rivera (Manny), Courtney Haynes, three great-grandchildren: Chanler, Skylar, Piper, two step-great-grandchildren: Kirra, Isabella, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by five sisters: Irene Hovis, Winnie DeWoody, Gerry Horne, Betty Hogue, Marian Unger, four brothers: Lewis Loper, Lyle Loper, Alden Loper, Almond Loper. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 2 to until time of the funeral service at 4 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA with her nephew, Pastor Craig Cobb officiating.
