Barbara E. Carpenter, 75, of Geneva, PA passed away at Meadville Medical Center on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Barbara was born June 1, 1943 in Greenville, PA, the daughter of the late Abraham and Malinda Miller. She was married to John H. Carpenter, who preceded her in death, on February 6, 2005. Barbara attended Conneaut Lake High School. She worked at Meadville Medical Center in food service, and owned, along with her husband Carpenter’s Candies and Supplies from 1980-1995 until retirement. Barbara attended the Sunnyside Mennonite Church. She enjoyed quilting, as well as attending sporting events and recitals of her great nieces and nephews. Barbara is survived by her two sisters; Mary Miller of Geneva, PA; MaryJo Miller of Sheakleyville, PA, and two brothers; Joseph and his wife Pauline Miller of Middlefield, OH; Mervin and his wife Valerie Miller of Orwell, OH and her niece Annetta and her husband Kevin Hochstetler of Geneva, PA and their three children; Abraham, Elizabeth and Caleb, and many other loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband John and a brother Leander Miller. Family will receive friends from 11 AM until time of the funeral at 2 PM, with Pastor Russ Richardson officiating, on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 12981 Foust Road, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316Interment will take place at the Churches Cemetery.
