Barbara Fleet

Barbara J. (Steffler) Fleet, age 81, of Saegertown, PA passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday August 9, 2024 at Wesbury.  She was born on September 8, 1942 in Rochester, PA to the late Henry and Esther (Yonz) Steffler.  She married Edward Fleet on May 12, 1962. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1998.

Barb graduated from Monaca High School in 1960. She worked for Wesbury and did home health care as a CNA. She loved her job and she loved taking care of the elderly. She worked until she was 72 years old.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Barb was a Vernon Central Auxiliary member. She enjoyed reading and playing solitaire and spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Wasko and her husband, Gregory of Saegertown, PA and her son, Todd Fleet of Cambridge Springs, PA; her grandchildren, Gavin Wasko and his significant other, Nikki Hawk, Hope Pavlik and her husband, Dustin, McKenzie Fleet and Brook Caldwell and her brothers, Tom Steffler and his wife, Carol of Monaca, PA and Tim Bell of New Brighton, PA.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Bell; an infant daughter, Sherrie Jo Fleet and 2 sisters-in-law, Pearl Steffler and Janice Bell.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday August 13, 2024 from noon- 2pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Marchetta of Wesbury officiating.  Burial will take place immediately following the service at Saegertown Cemetery.
