Barbara Grinnell

Barbara Ann Buck Grinnell, 78, passed away at Aristacare at Park Ave on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

Barbara was born in McKeesport, PA on July 30, 1940 to Paul Buck and Mildred Tritica Buck.

She married Donald “Duck” A. Grinnell on July 2, 1960.

Surviving Barbara is her husband, Donald, and three children, Christine Vann and her husband, Richard of Meadville, PA, Jeffery Grinnell and his wife, Victoria of Fombell, PA, and Donald “Donie” Grinnell (Sandra) of Meadville, PA; three grandchildren, Brittany, Chase and Chayton Grinnell; one sister, Patricia “Trish” Marin of Meadville, PA; three brothers, Ronald Lovic of Springdale, PA, Paul Bartko (Lois) of Greensburg, PA and Bert Bartko (Laurie) of Wendel, PA; one half-sister, Deborah (Patrick) Monaghan of Florida; three stepsisters, Carol Lang of Oceanside, CA, Nancy Francisco (Jack) of LaMessa, CA and Sandy Paterick (Charles) of Jefferson Hills, PA;; stepmother, Eleanor Buck of West Mifflin, PA; two sisters-in-law, June Hayes of Geneva and Barbara E Grinnell of Hadley, PA; and many nephews, nieces, great nephew and nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Paul and Mildred; stepfather, Albert and grandparents and brother-in-law, John Marin.

Barb was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School. She worked at her own beauty shop on Terrace Street, then for American Greeting Cards, Kmart and Crawford Central School District. She was an EMT with Vernon Central Fire Dept. and a lifetime member of Vernon Central. She belonged to Faith United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and helped with the music during the after school program on Wednesdays.

There will be a private funeral service and burial will take place at Geneva Memorial Cemetery.
