Barbara Kay Heiser

Barbara Kay Heiser, age 68, of Meadville, PA and formerly of Beaver Falls, Monaca, and Center Township, PA passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at UPMC-Shadyside, Pittsburgh. She was born February 24, 1945 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Cloyd and Gertrude (Steffens) Yard. She married Michael Kent Heiser on July 10, 1965. He survives. She was a 1963 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, and received her Registered Nursing degree from Jamison Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She had been employed as a registered nurse at Aliquippa Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Aliquippa. She loved gambling, especially playing the slot machines. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael Kent Heiser of Meadville, PA, a daughter, Amy L. Lynn and her husband, James W. Lynn of Meadville, PA, and a son, Michael Kent Heiser Jr and his wife, Alison Cheney-Heiser of Indian Head, Maryland, two grandchildren Corey Lynn and Jordan Lynn, two brother-in-laws; David Heiser and his wife, Frances of Aliquippa, PA and Charles Patrick Smith and his wife, Carolyn of Monaca, PA; her uncle, Elmer Steffens of Beaver Falls, PA and her cousin, Linda Steffens of Beaver Falls, PA. She is further survived by many nephews and cousins A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on March 1, 2014 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 100 Center Grange Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001, with the Rev.
