Barbara Patton

Barbara H. Patton, age 91 of Meadville, PA passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Crawford County Care Center. She was born August 9, 1924 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late Carl Hosmer and Josephine Kuhn Hosmer.  She married James R. Patton of August 25, 1962.  He survives. She was a 1942 graduate of Meadville High School.  She retired as a Lab Technician at the American Viscose Corporation, and she was the owner of the Crossroads Diner in the late 40’s.  She was of the Catholic Faith. Barbara was a great cook. Barbara is survived by a daughter Kathleen Scheid and her husband David of Evans City, PA, a step daughter Brenda Patton of Erie, PA, a son James Hopkins of Meadville, PA, a daughter-in-law: Sue Buck of Guys Mills, PA, eight grandchildren: Autumn Homerski and her husband Keith, Jayson Hopkins, Rickie Hopkins and his wife Angie, Jordan Hopkins, James Scheid, Annie Scheid and her husband Jerry Collet, Nathan Hopkins and his wife Kasey, Karrah Hopkins and her companion Chad Malinowski, a step-grandson: Kyle Windahl, nine great-grandchildren: Blake, Peri, Drake, Livia, Aaron, Breanna, Kaitlyn, Rickie, and Riley and a great-great-grandson, Oliver and a sister; MaryLou Wise of Germantown, Maryland. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a son; Richard “JD” Hopkins. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Township.
