Barbara Peterson

Barbara A. (Wood ) Peterson, age 74, of Meadville, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 27, 2016.   She was born September 8, 1941 in Meadville, the daughter of Daniel Wood and Viola Brandon (Wood). Barbara and Stanley W. Peterson were married on October 16, 1960; he survives. Barbara attended Meadville High School, and worked at both the Methodist Home and the Mead Nursing Home. A follower of the protestant faith, she loved baking, doing crafts, and her XBOX360. Surviving Barbara are: her husband Stanley W. Peterson of Meadville, a daughter Kimberly, and her husband Robert Yohe of Wampum, PA; a son Brian Peterson and his girlfriend Kim Talkington of Meadville; 5 grandchildren: Bobby Lee Kelly, and his wife Amanda, Dustin Allen Kelly, Joshua Lewis Reichel and his wife Staci, Sareena Marie Peterson asnd her fiancé David and Brandon Wayne Peterson. Surviving great grandchildren include: Bianca, Nyles, Rayla, Evelynn, and Daman---Kelly; Maci Splitstone and Makayla Sulecki. Barbara is also survived by her dogs: Ginger and Angel, and her cat Smokey. Preceding Barbara in death were her parents, a brother James, and an infant daughter. Service for Barbara are private. Barbara’s family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Heart Foundation.
