Bernice L Hough

Bernice L. Hough, age 97 of Conneaut Lake, formerly of Meadville, PA had an angel come to take another angel to her Father in Heaven on Monday, August 8, 2016 with her family by her side.              She was born April 8, 1919 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late Floyd Wescott and Nancy Peterson Wescott. She married Thomas Hough on February 27, 1937.  He preceded her in death on November 18, 1996.             Bernice had worked for the TNT Keystone Ordnance Works and then retired from the Packing Department at MORCO Company in Cochranton, PA             Bernice was a member of the Watson Run Church of God. She was very active within the church having served as a Sunday school teacher and helped with cleaning of the church.  She was active with the TOPS in Linesville and achieved the status of KOPS in Linesville for thirty-six years. She traveled to Colorado Springs and received an award from KOPS for 25 years of accomplishment. Bernice was a member of the Watson Run Woman’s Club and the Vernon Central Vixen Red Hats Group and was a part of the MORCO Retiree’s group. Bernice was a lady on the go; she would walk four to five miles a day, dressing according to the weather. She crocheted and knitted baby blankets for all of the children in her family. She never met a child she didn’t love.  She was the “Best” mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.             Bernice is survived by two daughters: Rebecca “Becky” Myers Osborn and her husband Larry Osborn of Conneaut Lake, PA and Yvonne Stewart and her husband Bill of Curwensville, PA, a son: William “Bill” Hough and his wife Carole of Meadville, PA,  a “third daughter” Sandy Williams and her husband Red of Cochranton, PA, 11 grandchildren: Robert Myers and his wife Lise of Meadville, PA, Jonathan Myers of Meadville, PA, Tom Stewart of North East, PA, David Stewart and his wife Lisa of Colorado, Bonnie Floro and her husband Sam of Curwensville, PA, William Stewart of State College, PA, William G. Hough and his wife Junae of Downingtown, Kenneth Hough and his wife Bonnie of Meadville, PA, Vicky Loutzenhiser and her husband Joseph of Cochranton, PA, Scott Hough and his wife Wanda of Springhill, TN, Brian Hough and his wife Victoria of Meadville, PA, 26 great-grandchildren: Annie Pitre of Meadville, PA, Dominic Pitre of Greeley, Colorado, Israel Myers of Nashville, TN, Billie Myers of Meadville, PA, Emilee Weston and her husband Mike of Ft. Hough of Meadville, PA, Alivia Hough of Meadville, PA, 21 great-great-grandchildren: Melina Weston, Owsley Borland, Olivia Borland, Jace Brown, Tate Brown, Stella Benice Bell, Aurora Bell, Simon Estudante, Mia Hough, Lacey Hough, JazzLyn Hough, Amelia Hough, Kendall Hough, Liam Hough, Morgan Litwiler, Jason Litwiler, Macy Loutzenhiser, Eisley Hough, Axyel Hough, Johnny Smith, Shawn Stuart.  She is survived by two sister-in-laws: Betty Wescott of Sebring, FL and June Hough of Meadville, PA. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.             In addition to her parents and her husband, Bernice was preceded in death by her son-in-law E. William Myers Jr. in l987, she was the last of nine siblings, her four sisters: Edna C. Hall Ogden, Winifred Hall Morian, Doris Wilcox Dalton and Imogene Ruth Wescott Ray, and by four brothers: Chester Hall, Cleveland Keith Hall, Clare Wescott and Vance Wescott and her dog; Whiskers.             Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA.             An additional calling hour will be held on Friday from 10 AM until time of the funeral service at 11 AM at the Watson Run Church of God, 9985 S. Watson Run Road, Meadville, PA 16335, with Pastor Samuel Heagy officiating. Bernice’s grandchildren will be singing at her funeral. Burial will be in the Watson Run Cemetery.             Memorials can be made to the Watson Run Church of God, 9985 S.
