Bertha Ann Calvin, age 85, of Conneaut Lake, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at her residence. She was born April 25, 1933, in Transfer, PA, the daughter of the late James Homer and Laura Rose Dungan Brown. She married Everett E. Calvin. He preceded her in death in November, 2004. She had been employed in the food service and as a home health caregiver. She was a member of the Living Waters Church, Meadville. Bertha thoroughly enjoyed her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her church family were the most important to her. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and riding her three wheel bike. On sunny days, you would find her sitting on her glider soaking in the rays. She was loved by all who knew her. Bertha is survived by two daughters; Yvonne and James Morda, Conneaut Lake, PA, and Marilyn and Jeff O’Neill, Cogan Station, PA; a son, Melvin E. Calvin and his significant other, Sherrill Hewlett, Hartstown, PA; seven grandchildren, Erika Esposito, Meadville; Casey Harvey, Pittsburgh, PA, Jarrad Brown, Pittsburgh, PA, Brandon O’Neill, State College, PA, and Ryan O’Neill, Cogan Station, PA; Carrie Morda, McKean, PA; Aimee Maziarz, Conneaut Lake, PA, and five great-grandchildren: Ayden Smith and Clarissa Esposito both of Meadville; Riley Wooldridge of McKean, PA; Evan and Logan Carner, both of Conneaut Lake and her brother: Orville Brown, Pahrump, NV. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Bertha was preceded in death by a son: Keith Brown, and a sister: Elanda Winkle, and a great grandchild: Jackson Williams. Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, from 2 PM until time of the funeral service at 4 PM at the Living Waters Church, 12891 State Highway 98, Meadville, PA, with Pastor Ray Martinez of Living Waters and Pastor Jeff O’Neill of Eagle Mountain Word of Faith Church officiating.
