Betty M. Fleek

Betty M. Fleek, age 90, formerly of Baldwin Street, Meadville, passed Saturday August 17, 2013, at Rolling Fields. Betty was born June 25, 1923 in Buffalo New York; the daughter of the late George J. and Doretta A. Kobernuss. She married Karl W. Fleek on July 3, 1954. Karl "Bob" Fleek passed January 16, 2006. Betty attended Meadville schools and after graduation worked for 17 years at the then: Meadville Telephone Company. She then spent many enjoyable years baby-sitting for several different families. Surviving are a daughter Claudia Scott and her husband Charles of Conneautville; sons Charles Fleek and his wife Phyllis; and Kevin Fleek, both of Meadville. Five grandsons: Bruce Scott, Paul Scott, Jason Fleek and his wife Terrie, Adam Fleek, Shawn Fleek; and 3 great grandchildren: Logan, Kylie and Aaron; also surviving are several cousins. Betty was preceded in death , in addition to her parents and husband, by a grandson Michael Fleek, and a daughter-in-law Vickie Fleek (Kevin's wife). Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 from 4PM to 7 PM, at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be officiated by the Reverend Joseph Rial, Associate Pastor of the Saegertown United Methodist Church, at 7PM. Interment will take place in Roselawn.
