Betty I. Stevens

Betty I. Stevens, age 79 of Conneautville, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, PA. Betty was born January 10, 1934 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late John L. Stevens and Helen E. (Savel) Stevens. Betty worked as a cook at Arts Restaurant, Isaly's in Linesville and retired from Mama Bears Restaurant in Conneaut Lake. Betty enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing quilts and clothing for her family. She also enjoyed the many plants she had in her home. Betty loved traveling and looked forward to her trips to Texas where she often visited with her daughter. She is survived by her son William Stevens of Conneautville, her daughter Karen S. Perry of Magnolia, Texas and her longtime companion, Carl Bilich of Conneautville who was also her loving caregiver when she first became ill. She is further survived by her brother Calvin M. Stevens and his wife Joyce of Saegertown and her nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John D. Stevens and two sisters Florence L. Brown and Shirley M. Andrews and a niece Kathy Andrews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rolling Fields, especially the caring staff on Elm Street. They made her feel comfortable during her stay there. Memorial contributions can be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Rd., Meadville, PA 16335. Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory in Conneaut Lake, 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake.
