Betty Wheeler

Betty K. Wheeler, age 89, of Meadville, PA passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Embassy of Park Avenue.

She married Harley Elton Wheeler.  He preceded her in death.

Betty graduated from Warren High School. She worked as a secretary for various attorney’s offices.

Country music was her passion.  She enjoyed writing poetry and songs.  She was a fan and personal friend of Gunther Williams, who tamed tigers for the circus.

Betty is survived by one daughter, Gail Wheeler of Erie, PA and one son, Richard Wheeler and his companion, Sharlene Coxson of Meadville, PA; two grandchildren, Michael Kline of Erie, PA and Chelsea Wheeler of Hamburg, PA and one sister, Margaret “Peg” Chase of Warren, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Doris (John) Coulter, Hazel (Robert) Smith and Beatrice (Clifford) Wing and one brother-in-law, Charles Chase.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
