Betty Wood

Betty J. Wood, age 94, of Saegertown, PA passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side on Wednesday May 3, 2023. She was born on May 18, 1928 in Big Springs, NB to the late Raymond and Marie (Neubauer) Ocobock. She married William L. Wood on October 30, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2007.

Betty graduated high school in Colorado. She waitressed at many local restaurants including Perkins, Mead Inn, The Mark and Days Inn. She attended Christ Evangelical Free Church.

Betty enjoyed bowling, fishing, reading doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and planting flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Reagle of Saegertown, PA; four grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips and her significant other, Timothy Eaton of Meadville, PA, Melissa Ayers and her husband, Bill of Conneaut Lake, PA, Bradley McCartney of Meadville, PA and Trinity Wood of Meadville, PA; 8 great grandkids and four great great grandkids.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Michael Carroll; her son, William L. Wood; her daughters, Carol Wood and Cynthia Haun and her son-in-law, Michael Haun.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Monday May 29, 2023 from 5-7 pm at Christ Evangelical Free Church, 19682 Hill Rd., Saegertown, PA 16433 with Pastor Jeff Wilson officiating.
