Bobbie Jo Long

Bobbie Jo Long, age 72, of Meadville passed away November 9, 2019 at Meadville Medical Center.  She was born on September 9, 1947 in Kinder, LA to the late Lorie (Bushnell) and Ellis Savant, Sr.  She married Larry Douglas Long August 12, 1967.

She attended public school in Kinder, LA.  She owned and operated her own child care.  She enjoyed reading and sewing. She was known by her radiant smile and beautiful personality.  Her family and friends will miss her homemade Gumbo.

Bobbie was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry of Meadville; two daughters, Sandra Maracci and her husband, David of Erie and Brenda Wright and her husband, Joseph of Mechanicville, NY; two sons, Ronnie “Doug” Long and his wife, Patricia of Meadville and Jason Long of Hazelton, PA; eight grandchildren, Amber, Andrew, Patrick, Joshua, Renay, Brandon, Aaron and Isabella; three sisters, Louise Fontenot of Kinder, LA, Marilyn Savant of Kinder, LA and Gwendolyn Chapel of Kinder, LA and one brother, Troy Savant of Kinder, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ellis Savant, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Abundant Life Fellowship United Pentecostal Church, 1040B Washington St., Meadville, PA 16335.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family in c/o Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.
