Brian Mccarthy

Brian E. McCarthy, age 51, of Edinboro, PA passed away on May 30, 2022 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA.  He was born on June 29, 1970 in Meadville, PA to Earle and Kay (Sutton) McCarthy.

Brian graduated from Meadville High School in 1989.  He worked as a nurse’s aide at Edinboro University for 30 years.  He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his sister, Shanon Swavey and her husband, Brian of Conneautville, PA and his 3 nieces, Maddy, Kyla and Ava Swavey; his aunt, Jane Sutton of Bluffton, SC and his uncle, Ted Sutton of Bravard, SC; his aunt, Zoe McCarthy of Lyman, SC and his cousins, Donna Carter and her husband, Jim of Richmond, VA and Michael, Christine and Julie McCarthy.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Harry McCarthy.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
