Carlton Carter Williams (Cartie), 89, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 at Sugarcreek Station. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Catherine June (Leake) Williams of Cochranton.
He was born July 23, 1931, in Pleasantville to the late Floyd A. and Eileen (Carter) Williams.
Carlton graduated in 1950 from Cochranton High School. He was employed by Drafto Corporation in Cochranton where he worked as a lathe operator from 1956 until his retirement in 1996. He served his country in the US Army, stationed at Fort Sheridan, Chicago, during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, Carlton is survived by two daughters, Cathleen Anne Ream, Hanover PA and Carrie Anne Williams, State College PA; his brother, Robert A. Williams, Auburn CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William A Williams of Meadville.
Carlton enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling in his motorhome, hunting and fishing, as well as woodcrafting projects around his home.
