Carol Barnes

Carol Ann Barnes, age 81, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 24, 2024 at Meadville Medical Center with her daughter and son- in-law by her side.  Carol was born on June 29, 1943 in Cleveland, OH to the late Donald and Doris (Mathews) Irons. She married Gary Lewis Barnes on September 16, 1961. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2018.

Carol was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, watching the Lifetime Network and reading. She was passionate about the Cleveland Browns.  And it wasn’t until recently that Carol discovered that she enjoyed playing Bingo.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Kimberly L Gallo and her husband, John of Conneaut Lake, PA; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one brother –in- law, Jay Barnes (Nancy) of Palm Bay FL;  one sister-in- law, Patricia Barnes of Dorset, OH and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by 3 sons, Robert L. Barnes, Scott A. Barnes and Gary L. Barnes II; 2 daughters- in- law, Donna Barnes and NaMarie Barnes; her  granddaughter, Jennifer Barnes; her father- in- law, Howard Barnes; her mother- in- law, Doris Barnes and two brothers- in- law, James Barnes and Rand Barnes.

As per Carol’s wishes, there will be no public services.
