Carole E. Lindsey, age 74 of Meadville, PA passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at her residence after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer She was born February 24, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late Roy E. Beggs and Katherine Tupper Beggs. She graduated from Hampton High School in Gibsonia, PA. She was employed as a banker with Mellon Bank and then at Citizens Bank retiring after 34 years in the banking industry. She was a volunteer with flower gardens, and helped maintain the Ernest Trail covered bridge, a member of the Silver Sneakers at WE, and prior to her illness, she maintained her landscaping at her home. She was on the Board of the ARC of Crawford County and had painted many pictures. Carole was an avid reader and she would never pass up on a trip to the casino. She is survived by her son: Ralph E. Lindsey and his wife Kimberly of Columbus, North Carolina, a grandson: Christopher Lindsey, two step grandchildren: Justin Merritt and Ashley Merritt and a step great-granddaughter: Zoey Alexander all of North Carolina, two sisters: Gloria Shea and her husband Ron of Conneaut Lake, PA and Donna Helbling and her husband Jim of Prospect, PA, nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends including Larry and Sandy Pifer and family of Meadville, PA. In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by a brother: Leonard R. Beggs. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 4 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA with Pastor Temple Jarrell of New Beginnings Church of God, officiating.
