Carolyn Virginia Corey

October 4, 1936 — April 8, 2014

Carolyn Virginia Corey, age 77 a long time resident of Conneaut Lake; and a more current resident of Melbourne, Florida; passed away at the Rolling Fields Nursing Home of Pancreatic Cancer. She was born October 4, 1936 at Patton, PA, the daughter of the late Morgan Thomas Airhart and DeLellis Grace Williams. Carolyn married Richard Harry Corey on June 3, 1955. He preceded her in death May 20, 1982. She was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School in 1954. In addition to raising her family- she was active in running the family farm and trucking company. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Conneaut Lake; and recently attended Covenant Presbyterian Church, in Palm Bay, Florida. Carolyn enjoyed painting, reading, and playing bingo. She is survived by a daughter Linda Dianne Puleio of Cochranton, PA; three sons: William Richard Corey of Oakland Park, Florida, Brian Paul and his wife Cindy Corey of Malabar, Florida, Richard Harry Jr. of Knoxville, Tennessee. Four grandchildren surviving are: Donald Corey Puleio; Gary Anthony Puleio Jr.; Behrend William Corey; Weston Isaac Corey. Also surviving are two brothers-in-law: Kenneth Seaman of Bradenton, Florida and James Thompson of DeLand, Florida, and further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Mrs. Corey was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Gary A. Puleio Sr. and three sisters Margaret (Peggy) Seamon, Patricia Burchfield, and Mary Joyce Thompson. Family and friends may call at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, Rocco R. Tedesco III, Supervisor, 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA., from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday, April 12, 2014. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following the calling at 1PM on Saturday with the Reverend Christine Rogan, Pastor of Geneva United Methodist Church. Interment will take place in Roselawn.
