Carrie H. Decrapio

Carrie H. DeCrapio, age 89 formerly of Meadville, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Crawford County Care Center, where she had been residing. She was born February 25, 1924 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late Harry and Christina DeFreese Hansen. She married Loke "Lokie" DeCrapio on March 25, 1942. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1963 She retired from Talon Inc. as a zipper inspector. She was of the Methodist Faith. She enjoyed bird watching; planting flowers and watching her garden grow. She liked to read, and especially enjoyed reading her Bible. She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Peterson and her husband, John of Meadville, PA and Hazel Lowe of Raleigh, North Carolina, eleven grandchildren; Robin Dille of Conneaut Lake, PA, John Peterson Jr of Meadville, PA, Joseph Peterson of Meadville, PA, Jamey Peterson of Meadville, PA, William Hollabaugh of Espyville, PA, Julie Hollabaugh of Spring Hope, North Carolina, Christeenia Jones of Pink Hill, North Carolina, Theresa Bevilheimer of Springboro, PA., Timothy Bevilheimer of Meadville, PA., Jason Bevilheimer of Springboro, PA, and Robert Bevilheimer of Maryland; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Betty Hansen of Meadville, PA, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Patricia Hoover, Mildred DeCrapio and Elizabeth Hollabaugh, a son, Loke "Butchie" DeCrapio, a grandson, Chester "Chip" Hoover and by four sisters, Rose Snider, Myra Hansen, Dottie Hansen, Alvira Hansen and four brothers, Martin Hansen, Carl Hansen, Ralph "Ernie" Hansen and James Hansen. Calling hours will be held at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA, on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 1 PM until time of funeral service at 3 PM, with Pastor Joe Kaufer, Chaplain with Southern Care Hospice, officiating.
