Charles "Otter" L. Tripp, age 58 of Meadville, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born October 24, 1956 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of Martha Jukes Scrivens and the late Clarence Tripp. He married Janice F. Hasko. She survives. Charles had been employed at the Mazak Corporation in Kentucky. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having entered the service on June 1, 1977 and obtained the Rank of GMG2. He was honorably discharged on August 21, 1980. He was affiliated with the Saegertown United Methodist Church. He enjoyed scuba diving and riding his Harley Davidson. Charles was a member of the Harley Hog Group in Meadville, PA He is survived by his wife, Janice F. Tripp of Meadville, PA, his mother; Martha Scrivens of Warren, PA, two daughters; Kimberly Tripp of Erie, PA and Lori Beth Tripp of Erie, PA, two stepsons; Frank Swanson and his wife Lynn of New York and Michael Swanson and his wife Stephanie of Meadville, PA, six grandchildren; Zachary, Clifford, Mika, Joshua, Matthew and Chloe, four sisters; Diane Patz of North Carolina, Myra Foster of Union City, PA, Karen Scrivens of Seattle, Washington, and Robin Manning and her husband Will of Genesee, PA, three brothers; Roger Tripp and his wife Barb of Union City, PA, John Scrivens and his wife Denise of Centerville, PA and Max Scrivens and his wife Shonta of San Diego, CA. He is further survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Tripp. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
