Chris Dengler

February 14, 1957 — October 13, 2020

Chris H. Dengler, age 63, of Saegertown, PA passed away on October 13, 2020 at his home.  He was born on February 14, 1957 in Meadville, PA to the late Henry and Edna (Henry) Dengler.

Chris was a well-known auto mechanic and owned and operated Chris Dengler’s Garage.  He was an excellent marksman with a muzzleloader and belonged to several muzzleloader clubs.   He taught many hunter’s safety courses and youth field day events and was an avid hunter himself.  He loved making maple syrup and was a 3rd generation maple producer, owning Dengler’s Maple Products with his family.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling and camping and he loved his grandkids.

Chris is survived by Laura Dengler of Saegertown, PA; two daughters, Dr. Melissa Dengler and her husband, Joe Smock of Guys Mills, PA and Alicia Staats and her husband, Steve of Saegertown, PA; three grandchildren, Cameron Staats, Addison Smock and Cale Staats; two sisters and one brother; several nieces and nephews; one special nephew, Jeff Vivian of Pittsburgh, PA and friend, Liz Vincelette of Albany, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
