Clara F Baldwin Pennino Amoroso

            Clara F Baldwin Pennino Amoroso, age 86, formally of Meadville passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Rolling Fields Elder Care. She was a resident of Rolling Fields Elder Care for 3 years.             She was born on September 3, 1930 in Meadville, the daughter of the late Elmer Baldwin and Julia Foriska. Clara married Phillip Amoroso on October 21, 1980. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2016.             Clara graduated from Meadville High School. She owned and operated The Lamplighter Restaurant, and Theodore’s Restaurant on North Street. Clara formally owned and operated the Plaza Coin Laundry. During her years in the food business she entered pies at the fair and received numerous blue ribbons. In August of 1992 she received an award of Grand Champion for her apple pie.  In retirement, she enjoyed being a house wife, tending to her flowers, gardening, and loved being with her dog Jack. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. She was of the Catholic Faith.             Clara is survived by two daughters: Gail Crawford of Meadville, and Juanita Hampton of Meadville, a son: Ted Pennino of Meadville, six grandchildren: Nick Pennino, T.J. Pennino, Marlo Schleicher, Kurt Crawford, Cheryl Houy, and Darren Hampton, five great-grandchildren: Jane Schleicher, Seth Schleicher, Ava Pennino, Landon Pennino, and Coco Crawford, a sister: Joan Petruso and her husband John of Meadville, a brother: James Lemon and his wife Roberta of Cranberry, PA.
