Clarence Dale Kasbee

Clarence "Butch" Kasbee, age 59, of Meadville, passed away at Meadville Medical Center on Thursday, December 26, 2013. He was born August 16, 1954, in Grove City, PA, the son of Thomas A Kasbee and Margaret L Schell Kasbee. He married Jeanne Elaine Williams on June 10, 1978. She survives. Butch graduated from Lakeview High School in 1972 then went on to graduate from Grove City College in 1976. Butch owned Yesterday's News in Meadville from 1976-1981. He then opened the Travel Experience of 255 Chestnut Street in 1982 and Tub Liners Unlimited of 255 Chestnut Street in 2008. Both are currently operating in Meadville. He was a member of the Sandy Lake United Presbyterian Church, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Meadville, PA. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 219, Shenango Valley Masonic Lodge 810, Lifetime member of the Order of Merlin of Youngstown, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Downtown Business Association. He had also served four years on City Council. He enjoyed emceeing and participating in both Meadville and Titusville Follies. He was an avid golfer, loved to travel and especially loved the ocean. He was very proud of his salt water fish tanks. He was an outdoor enthusiast from an early age. He enjoyed the time he spent detailing his cars and was often seen walking his Dalmatians around town. . He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jeanne W. Kasbee of Meadville, PA; a daughter, Diana Turrisi and her husband, TJ of Meadville, PA, and two sons, David Kasbee of Meadville, PA and Darren Kasbee and his wife, Chrissy of Pittsburgh, PA; a grandchild, Kendall Rae Kasbee; his parents, Thomas A. and Margaret (Schell) Kasbee of Sandy Lake, PA; two sisters, Sheila Martin and her husband Timothy of Gulf Port, Mississippi and Susan Criss and her husband, Michael of Collegeville, PA. He is further survived by three nephews, Joshua Martin of Gulfport, Mississippi, Ethan Criss, of Washington State, and Elliot Criss of Ashville, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Family and Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. The funeral service will follow at 4PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA with Rev. Dr. Brian Jensen, of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
