Cynthia Thompson

Cynthia “Cindy” L. (Truran) Thompson, age 64, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday August 4, 2023.  She was born in Meadville, PA on February 7, 1959 to the late Richard C. and Helen Truran Jr.  She married Eric Thompson on November 5, 1988.  He preceded her in death on September 17, 2020.

Cindy graduated from Meadville High School in 1977.  She was employed over the years at Realco Tool & Die, Crawford Care Managements, Erie Homes for Children and Adults, Suburban Propane and Harned Oil.  She enjoyed going to her husband and son’s band concerts, watching her son’s sporting events and being involved with his Eagle Scouts.  She was extremely proud of her son for joining the United States Marine Corp.

Cindy is survived by her son, Sgt. Jesse Thompson, currently stationed in San Diego, CA; her sister, Linda Miller of Meadville, PA; her two brothers, Richard Truran and his wife, Mary of Meadville, PA and Thomas Truran and his wife, Diane of Lake City, PA and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Simonette.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday August 26, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Daniel Corll officiating.
