Dale Anthony Miller, 74, of Conneaut Lake, passed away at home after a lengthy illness on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
He was born on December 3, 1948 to the late Norbert (Bud) Sr. and Dorothy (Daley) Miller. He married the love of his life, Patricia Anne (Donegan) Miller, in 1974.
Dale was a 1967 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School, where he also served as student council president. Following high school, he attended the Erie Business Institute and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
His real education, however, came from learning the family business, Bud Miller Ford, Inc., where he worked since he was a child. In addition to working throughout his life for Bud Miller Ford, Dale continued working at the dealership (Lakeview Ford) in sales from 1998 on until retiring for health reasons in 2013.
A kind and patient man, Dale’s deepest purpose and sense of profound pride came from his family and being a devoted father and husband to his wife and beloved daughters. His granddaughter, Tessa, was his spark of joy.
Dale had a wry sense of humor and was an avid golfer, a voracious reader (Stephen King was a favorite), loved solving word puzzles, and always enjoyed watching television including The Simpsons, car auctions, and Steelers football.
He was a long-time member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church where he served on the church council, the cemetery committee, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Anne (Donegan) Miller of Conneaut Lake, his daughters, Erin C. Miller of Pittsburgh and Kristen Heather Bazylak (Bobby) and a granddaughter, Tessa Jean Bazylak of Conneaut Lake; sisters Mary Faith Krelic (Curt) of Oakdale and Moira A. Keller (Danny) of Pittsburgh; brothers Norbert A. (Buddy) Miller, Jr. (Sue) of Stuart, FL, and Mark G. Miller (Susie) of Conneaut Lake; brothers-in-law Tom Donegan (Mary) of Conneaut Lake and James (Kathleen/Tappy) Donegan of Allison Park; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Anthony (Tony) Miller, nephew John F. Munsch, in-laws Robert R. Edwin and Anne M. Donegan, and brother-in-law Robert J. Donegan.
