Daniel Black

Daniel “Dan” “Danny” S. Black, age 77, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away suddenly at Meadville Medical Center on Tuesday January 11, 2022.  He was born on October 23, 1944 in Meadville, PA to the late Gail and Marion (Wright) Black.  He was formerly married to his best friend and caregiver, Ida (VanSise) Bucuren of Conneaut Lake, PA.

He was a 1962 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force.  He was a former PA State Trooper and was later a real estate broker and auctioneer.

Dan was of the Protestant faith.  Despite his disability from his strokes, he was unstoppable!  His determined attitude, infectious smile and love for his family were his trademarks (as well as his penchant for yard sales)!  The family would like to thank the residents of Conneaut Lake who continuously watched over him, loved on him and helped him whenever they could.  You will never know how much it meant to him and to us.

He is survived by his three children, Tracie Fiorita and her husband, John of Pittsburgh, PA, Christy Meszaros and her husband, Dave of Sharon, PA and Matt Black and his significant other, Danielle Daley of Conneaut Lake, PA; his grandchildren, Jordan Powell, Airman First Class Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team, of Washington, D.C.,  Jacob Powell, Senior Airman Special OPS TACP and his wife, Tayler of KY and Jonah Powell studying at Penn State University, State College, PA; one brother, Tim Black of TX and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Sally Black and his sister-in-law, Donna Black.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday January 14, 2022 from 12-2 pm and 4-6 pm at Dickson Funeral Home, 130 N. 2 ^nd St., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.  Funeral service will take place at 6 pm with Pastor Dan Mealy officiating.  A private burial will take place at Southside Cemetery in Shermansville, PA.
