Daniel L Karastury

In Loving Memory of Daniel Karastury. November 15, 1949- May 18, 2019.

Daniel, 69 of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.  He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many in his community.  Your smile, honesty, and compassion will be missed.

Dan was extremely loving and proud of his family.  He leaves behind a daughter, Christine (Karastury) Tate and her husband, Philip of Chardon, OH; Stepchildren, Lisa (Harnett) Smith and her husband, Bill of Meadville, PA and Michael Harnett of Conneaut Lake, PA; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; with one on the way.

He was beloved brother of Jean Cicco and her husband, Ron of Pittsburgh, PA; Patty Porter and her husband, Mike of Meadville, PA; Mike Karastury and his wife, Shannah of Meadville, PA and George Karastury and his wife, Norma of Meadville, PA; along with various nieces and nephews he adored.

Dan served in the Army National Guard, was a member of the Harmonsburg United Methodist Church, and belonged to various Fire Departments and Legions.  He enjoyed the outdoors; biking, canoeing, hiking, and fishing, but most of all loved spending time at camp around a campfire with family and friends, especially longtime companion Sandy Oliver.

Dan shaped a successful partnership with brother Mike to form D&M Tool, he retired in 2014.  Earlier in life he operated the Harmonsburg Quaker State Gas Station; where he was known to go the extra mile, always satisfying his customers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Karastury Sr.,his mother,  Fern Karastury , two brothers; Stephen Karastury and  Harry Camp and his sister, Sandy Wills.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.
