Darla Shay

Darla Shay, age 66, of Meadville, PA passed away on December 14, 2022 at Rolling Fields after a hard fought battle with cancer.  She was born on November 8, 1956 in Meadville, PA to the late Harry Gamble and Mae Trace.

Darla graduated from Meadville Area High School in 1974.  She was of Christian faith.  She was always present for her kids.  She enjoyed shopping and she loved spending time with her five grandchildren.  They were the reason she fought so hard.

She is survived by her life partner of 38 years, Jack Lackey of Meadville, PA; her children, Robbie Shay and his fiancé, Stephanie Pettinato of Meadville, PA and Stacey Shay of Meadville, PA; her grandchildren, Payton Shay, Haley Bucci, Victoria Shay, RJ Shay and Keegan Shay and her three brothers, Klinton Gamble and his wife, Kris of Meadville, PA, Gary Gamble and his wife, Penny of Meadville, PA and Dennis Gamble and his wife, Kathy of FL.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
