Darlene Cervone

Darlene T. Cervone, age 86, of Cervone Dr., Meadville, PA passed away on May 6, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center.  She was born on July 26, 1934 in Knoxville, TN to the late John and Ruby White.  She married James Cervone on November 29, 1957.  He preceded her in death on April 2, 2011.

Darlene was a homemaker and mother most of her life. As a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, she was active in St. Agatha School (later known as Seton Catholic School) functions and activities.    She also worked part-time jobs at K-Mart and the Sugar Plum Shop.

In her younger days, she enjoyed fishing and later in life playing Bingo, antiquing, going to flea markets and gardening.

Darlene is survived by her children, Scarlet Stomieroski of Knoxville, TN, James R. Cervone of Meadville, PA and Julie DeGeorge of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Courtney Stomieroski of Knoxville, TN, Breanne Stomieroski of Knoxville, TN and Anthony DeGeorge and his wife, Emily of Knoxville, TN and four great-grandchildren, Hazel Grace Stomieroski, Hadley Stomieroski, Dominic DeGeorge and Waylon Stooksbury.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, James and her siblings, Claudia Wyrick, Edna May Collins, John White, Billy Cox, Bonnie Keys, Easter Mills, Ralph White, R.L. White and Wade White.

As per her wishes, family and friends are invited to call on Monday May, 10 2021 from 10-11:00 am at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am.  She will be buried next to her husband in St. Brigid Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
