Darrel F. Tompkins

Darrel "Bud" Tompkins Bud Tompkins, age 71, formerly of Lakeville MN and Neillsville WI, died unexpectedly of pulmonary-cardiac arrest in Meadville, PA, on November 28, 2014. He had been living in Meadville for the past two years with his son Joe Tompkins and daughter-in-law Julie Wilson. Born December 10, 1942, Bud was a devoted father to Joe and Steve Tompkins, whom he loved deeply. He is further survived by his former wife, Deborah Tompkins, sister, Patricia Langreck, brother-in-law Eugene, and nephews Patrick and Timothy Langreck. Bud was a small business owner and an avid, competitive golfer. He was a proud family man and social butterfly who, to use one of his own oft-repeated phrases, added "a little pepper to the soup." Bud was a Vietnam veteran and will be buried with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on December 29 at 11am.
