David Bahurinsky

David Bahurinsky, age 92, of Sunnyside Ave., Meadville, PA passed away on Saturday April 17, 2021 at Wesbury.  He was born on June 29, 1928 in Meadville, PA to the late Michael and Mary (Bachiak) Bahurinsky.  He married Emelina Bengivenga on August 5, 1950.  She survives.

Dave graduated from Meadville High School in 1945.  He retired from Avtex Fibers after over 40 years.  He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Dave volunteered for the ARC for several years.  He enjoyed meeting his McDonald’s group for coffee in the morning.  He played in the Keystone Baseball league and local softball leagues and even had tried out for minor league baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Emelina of Meadville, PA; one daughter, Laurie Ann Stewart and her husband, Ken of Meadville, PA; one son, David Brian Bahurinsky and his wife, Lori of Meadville, PA; two grandchildren, Brian David Bahurinsky and his wife, Brittany of Pittsburgh, PA and Erin Rae Mackiewicz and her husband, Jeff of Saegertown, PA and three great-grandchildren, Emma and Ava Bahurinsky and Bristol Mackiewicz.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Leslie, three sisters, Anna Burke, Josephine Miller and Dorothy Morgan and six brothers, Michael, John, Amil, Joseph, George and Frank Bahurinsky.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  He will be laid to rest next to his daughter at St. Brigid Cemetery.
