David Brumagin

June 29, 1940 — April 12, 2020

Pastor David R. Brumagin, age 79, of Guys Mills, PA, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Easter morning (April 12, 2020) at his own home surrounded by family following a faith filled battle against multiple myeloma.  He was born on June 29, 1940 in Lowville, PA to the late Howard R. and Rose A. (Tanner) Brumagin.  He married Dolly A. Linton on August 19, 1961.  She survives.

Dave was a 1958 graduate of Wattsburg High School.  He then attended Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada where he earned his four year degree. David also served in the PA National Guard.

He worked as a journeyman at Talon, Inc. in his younger years.  He went on to do missionary work in Papua, New Guinea for eight years and then served as the Pastoral Assistant at Trinity United Methodist Church of Conneaut Lake for 36 years and served at Meadville Medical Center in Pastoral Care for 26 years.

He was an outdoorsmen and a family man.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Dolly,  he is survived by one daughter, Karen Kovac and her husband, Jeff of Glacierview, AK; one son, Rick Brumagin and his wife, Cindy of Guys Mills, PA; four grandchildren, Nicole George and her husband, Larry, Susann Taccone and her husband, Zak, Craig Brumagin and his wife, Samantha and Jennifer Bostick and her husband, Tyler; six great-grandchildren, Leif, Eisley, Isabella, Asa, Ayla and Larry and one brother, Lynn Brumagin and his wife, Gail.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Brumagin.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm until the time of the service at Trinity United Methodist Church, 240 N 3 rd St., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.   Reverend Russ Hixson will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335 or a charity of one’s choice.
