FORD- David Thomas, 83, passed away March 20, 2015, at his home in Conneautville after a long illness. Born May 14, 1931 in Newbury, Ohio, he was the son of Cecil Moses Ford and Lillian Marie (Baley) Ford. He is survived by his wife, former Joan Wallner, whom he married February 5, 1955 at Newbury Community Church, Newbury Ohio. David served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1957. Farming and caring for land and animals all his life, he is the fourth generation of his family to be a dairy farmer, operating "Ford Farms" with his wife and children since 1962. He was an avid bowler, on a league of neighbors and friends in previous years. He and his wife spent their winters in Astor, Florida fishing and spending time with friends until recently. He is also survived by two sisters Betty Ann Felberg and Lillian Rauch and sister-in-law Beth, all of Ohio; a daughter, Joan Sherretts and her husband Glenn of Conneautville; two sons, Michael and his wife Donna as well as David, both of Conneautville; six grandchildren, Darcy Hammond and her husband Benjamin of Vermont, Katie Miller and her husband Dan of Conneautville, Lisa Ford of Conneautville, Crystal Locke and her husband Bryan of Cambridge Springs, Joshua Sherretts and his wife Kimberly of Meadville, and Justin Sherretts and his wife Ashley of Saegertown; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a faithful canine companion, "Bear." He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Richard and Robert Ford, a sister June Loriane, and a grandson Shane Ford. There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with internment at Rundelltown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hayfield Fire Department or a charity of the donor's choosing.
