David Lee Walker, age 63, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away at Meadville Medical Center due to pneumonia in the one lung he had left. David was born May 2, 1958 to the late Kenneth and Louise Walker. He married the love of his life, Dorothy K. Kiskadden Ebbert on June 15, 1996. They had a total of 5 children. They never used the term “step.” He loved all of his children.
David grew up just outside of Atlantic with a Greenville address and graduated from Commodore Perry High School in 1976. He had several jobs over the years starting at 15 working for his Uncle Alvin Shrock. He worked for Coinco in Cochranton for a while then he worked for Homestead Oak setting up trailers and he worked 2 nights a week at the Park Firehall as a caller. He also worked on Saturday nights at Conneautville bingo and then he worked at the Cow Shed bingo for a short time for Wanda Ramaley. After Homestead Oak, he got a factory job at Meadville Forge and worked there until he retired after 20 years of service. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in one lung in 2005 and had lung surgery in January 2006, but the other lung was very healthy and continued to work until 3 years ago when he retired because he was starting to feel run down. He got pneumonia in June 2020 and was in the ICU for 7 days. He never fully recovered from that but he put up a good hard fight. This time he was not in the ICU and he was tired of fighting even though he didn’t want to leave his wife and daughter at home. He looked forward to Sundays when he got to see his other daughter, Beth and granddaughter, Harper. David was a good man, never mean or unkind to anyone. He was very well liked and loved.
David had a love for his boat, fishing, Pittsburgh Steelers and guns and most of all his family; his wife and kids.
David is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dot Walker; his children, Scott Ebbert, BethAnn Staggs, Jeremy Michael Walker and Kaylee Walker; his 6 grandchildren, Caiden Walker, Jordan S., Cameron S., Kylie and Tristan Staggs and Harper Staggs-Hoffman and one more on the way; his brothers and sisters, Pat (Jim) Hittle, Nancy (Dave) Rieger, Ron Walker, Rich Walker and Deb (Jeff) Redmond; his mother-in-law, Loretta Kiskadden, who was like his own Mom; 2 brothers-in-law, Ted (Kathy) Kiskadden and Rick (Michelle) Kiskadden and sister-in-law, Vicki Kiskadden and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Catalano; his brother, Robert Walker and his father-in-law, Richard Kiskadden.
