Debora Eckart

Debora M. Eckart, age 67, of Meadville, PA passed away at her home on Tuesday July 23, 2024. She was born on August 28, 1956 in Erie, PA to the late Reverend Andrew and Ruth (Skelly) Lashinsky. She married Daniel Eckart on August 28, 1990. Debora enjoyed doing puzzles and reading. An avid card player, she delighted in teaching novices the rules of the game. Debora was quite knowledgeable about flowers and could often be found on her porch being entertained by the birds. Known as Nana and Grandma Debbie, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years Daniel and her son Jason Guianen of Meadville, PA (from her first marriage to Ron Guianan). She also is survived by 3 stepsons, Mike (Julie) Eckart of Jefferson, OH, Nick Eckart of Conneaut, OH, and Sam Eckart of Niles, OH; 6 grandchildren, Adrianna (Issak), Robbie (Malissa), Johnnie, Ryan, Skye and Rayne; 3 great grandchildren, Sydney, Paisley and Leonidas; her sister, Cathie (Shawn) McBurney of Yulee, FL and her brother, Andy (Irene) Lashinsky of Greenville, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Lashinsky.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  Calling hours will be Friday, August 2,2024 beginning at 1p-3p and immediately followed by a memorial service at 3p.
