Delores Ann Mccain

Delores Ann McCain, age 79 formerly of Meadville and Townville, PA passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Crawford County Care Center. Delores was born December 1, 1934 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late Clarence and Sophia Jastromb Gibbons. She married Gene E. McCain on March 26, 1956. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1996. She retired after 28 years of Service to the Days Inn where she was employed as a Salad Chef. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Meadville. She was a member of the TOPS 612, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 0111, and the ladies Auxiliary of the Meadville Eagles. She enjoyed Bingo, reading and knitting. She is survived by three sons, Mark A. McCain and his fiancée, Stacy Cochran of Townville, PA, Walter G. McCain of Townville, PA and Brian K. McCain of Erie, PA; a daughter, Karla J. Rhoades and her fiancé Randy Prugh of Greenville, PA: five grandchildren, Michael McCain, Kimberly McCain, Barbara McCain, Brianna McCain and Holly Smith; eight great-grandchildren, Jersey Duda, Trenton Duda, Kaleb Duda ,Mia McCain, Maylie, Zoe, Gracelynn Faith and Isabella Angelina; a sister, Kathy Wheeler and her husband David of Meadville, PA, two brother, Norm Gibbons of Meadville, PA and Walter Gibbons and his wife, Florence of Erie, PA. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Delores was preceded in death by two sons, Craig A. McCain and Gene E. McCain Jr., two grandsons, Buford Theodore Rhoades and Brandon Kyle Rhoades and a sister, Joanne Hope. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 PM and from 7 to 9 PM, at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 11 AM with Bishop William C. Stallard, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.
