Delores McLaughlin

Delores Marie McLaughlin (Momma Dee), age 79, of Meadville, PA passed away at home on Friday September 4, 2026. She was born on June 6, 1947 in Oil City, PA to the late Robert and Eleanor Lucille (Scofield) Cunningham. She married William A. McLaughlin Jr. on July 9, 1994. He survives.

Delores graduated from Oil City High School in 1965. She was a Christian believer who had a way of lighting up every room she entered.

Daily, she enjoyed playing solitaire, scrabble, Yahtzee,and Nintendo Wii. She also enjoyed growing flowers, vegetable gardening and canning. She loved her ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s music and dancing. She also loved watching the Law and Order series. Her love songs to William were Frank Sinatra’s “It Had To Be You” and “What’ll I Do.”

In addition to her loving husband of 32 years, William, she is survived by her daughters, Brenda Malliard of Meadville, PA and Stephanie Hodges and her husband, CJ of Glen Burnie, MD and her son, C. Steven Malliard and his wife, Christina of Phoenixville, PA; five grandchildren, Delena Meinert and her husband, Devan, Ryan Turner Jr., Dominic Turner, Chloe Malliard and Campbell Malliard; two sisters, Jeannette Vernon of Mercer, PA and Lorrie Fisher of Austintown, OH and her sisters-in-law, Connie Cunningham of North Port, FL and Janis McLaughlin of Mentor, OH.

Delores was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Cunningham and her brothers-in-law, Richard Fisher and Duane Vernon.
